PET TRICKS CLASS – $85.00  /  8 weeks

Wednesday evenings 8:10 - 9:10pm Pre-registration is required

Check calendar for availability.

Prerequisite: Older Puppy/Beginner Class or equivalent is required

Want to do more with your puppy/dog? How about roll-over? Say your prayers? Play dead? All these and many more fun tricks are taught in this fun class which teaches the proper use of a clicker, a target and a lure. Excellent choice for any dog/handler team that just wants to have some fun together.

JUMP CLASS – $55.00  /  4 weeks

Check schedule for availability. Pre-registration is required

This class utilizes the Linda Mecklenburg one-jump training skills and flat work for agility and teaches the dog the proper and safe way to jump utilizing a "rounded" jumping technique. The flat work portion of the class teaches collection and to watch the handler. This is the perfect class for all dog/handler teams that plan to go on to Open & Utility Obedience and is a required class for Versatility Two students. All students are required to help roll out and set up additional matting and to assist in re-rolling and putting away all the jumps and mats.

CRATE GAMES CLASS – $45.00  /  4 weeks

Check schedule for availability. Pre-registration is required

This class is ideal for the puppy or older dog that has little or no self-control. While it teaches self-control, fast and reliable recalls (come when called) a send away and teaches the dog how to "think" for himself and to make a choice. Perfect for all puppies and older dogs that have self-control issues. A metal or hard-sided crate is required, lots of soft treats and a hungry dog.

RALLY CLASS –  $40.00  /  4 weeks

Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:00pm Check schedule for availability

Overseen and instructed by Gera Blaauw, this class offers guidance and instruction in the fun sport of Rally. Since ring time and work with the set ups and signs is most important, this is a great opportunity to get some counseled practice time in a real ring set up. Beginner dog/handler teams will be coached on the individual station requirements. Different courses are offered each week, presenting new challenges to the dog/handler team. Experienced guidance by Gera for the best way to execute each course.

Students are expected to help set up and/or pick up after each class.

Linda Unger and Jamie took 1st Place in Open B at the Ocala Dog Show and Obedience Competition PREP-TO-SHOW – $10.00  /  per class

Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:00pm

Limited to 9 dogs per evening – this is a “drop-in” class and is open to all.  Ten minute time limit per dog.

Open to all dog/handler obedience teams who are preparing to show in Novice, Open, and Utility obedience classes. All dogs must be under total control on and off leash. No actual exercises will be taught in this class. This class is designed to offer coaching on what is and is not acceptable in the obedience-show ring, along with actual ring experience for the dog & handler. All exercises will be called as actually done in the AKC show ring. Exercises may or may not be performed with other dog/handler teams working on different exercises in the same ring. This allows dogs the opportunity to work in a very distracted setting similar to an obedience trial/show. Instructors will be assisting students throughout the class. Students must own and bring to class a current AKC Obedience rule book. Rules and scoring will be reviewed. While treats/toys may be used in the ring, this is not an instructional class for learning the exercise, but is a preparation for the obedience competition environment at all levels, Novice, Open and Utility.
