This class is designed to teach perfect crate manners, good recall skills, self-control, body awareness, clicker work, and self-confidence to young puppies and older beginners with little training. The first four weeks of class will cover our "Crate Games" series developed from Susan Garrett. Each handler will be required to bring a wire or airline crate (hard-sided only) to class each week. The crate MUST be large enough for the dog to enter in and to sit upright WITHOUT HITTING HIS/HER HEAD OR EARS.

The last four weeks of the class will provide foundation clicker training, rear-end awareness, swish poles, backing up and downs, tug games, spins and twirls and other foundation games that can be used for competition obedience, as independent games, and as a way to help burn off some of your dog's pent up energy. Learn how to interact with your puppy in a fun way that helps him/her use their brains in a positive way.

Kindergarten OR Beginner, along with Beginner Plus are prerequisites to attend the Versatility One class.

Wednesday evenings 5:00 - 6:30pm when available

Limited to 9 dogs per evening – this is a “drop-in” class and is open to all.
10 minute time limit per dog.

Open to all dog/handler teams who are preparing to show in Novice, Open, and Utility obedience classes. All dogs must be under total control on and off leash. No actual exercises will be taught in this class. This class is designed to offer coaching on what is and is not acceptable in the obedience-show ring, along with actual ring experience for the dog & handler. All exercises will be called as actually done in the AKC show ring. This allows dogs the opportunity to work in a very distracted setting similar to an obedience trial/show. Instructors will be assisting students throughout the class. Students must own and bring to class a current AKC rule book. Rules and scoring will be reviewed. While treats/toys may be used in the ring, this is not an instructional class for learning the exercise, but is a preparation for the obedience competition environment at all levels, Novice, Open and Utility.

They won High in Trial with a 199 plus High Combined at
the Dog Training Club of Tampa on October 27, 2013.

Different groupings of exercises are offered each week dependent upon the student needs. The instructor will determine the needs of the class.

Gera Blauuw and Justice RALLY CLASS –  $100.00  /  8 weeks

Wednesday evenings 6:30 - 8:00pm - Check class schedule for start dates.

Pre-registration is required

This class does not teach basic obedience foundations. Dogs must have completed Kindergarten OR Beginner, Beginner Plus or equivalent and have a solid working ability with all basic obedience exercises (loose leash walking, sit, down, stand on command, and ability to work in a busy class environment.)

Overseen and instructed by Gera Blaauw and Stan Dudek, this class offers guidance and instruction in the fun sport of Rally. Since ring time and work with the set ups and signs is most important, this is a great opportunity to get counseled practice time in a real ring set up. Different courses are offered each week, presenting new challenges to the dog/handler team. Experienced guidance by Gera for the best way to execute each course. This class does NOT teach basic obedience foundation work.

Students are expected to help set up and/or pick up after each class.
